With the birth of low quality as a THING in entertainment that provides the best fit to the common denominator for the consumer and therefore catches the largest population one perceives the manufactured ignorance for the important themes, even the knowhow for survival in the modern world. As edutainment is fading as a market niche the rise of ignorance shines.
One glaring example may be the IT classes in schools that are turned into gaming dens.
