Free trade and the wage bond

In the free trade an actor stands in a cell in the shackles of those who have real economic freedom. The wage-slave is a player for the interests of the employers union at times and for the trade unions at times and for the push and shove of their powers for the rest of the time.

There is never any freedom in working for wages. With the possible exception of high earners who can afford shares and sharing in on profits.

In the freelancer  world, on the other hand, there is so little stability and  no ladder for progress. Perhaps the virtue of freelancing is in a rsome measure of equality.

Race of labourers

To be ever better at work in comparison to other labourers
A profit boosting effect.

To run to work
For the fear of losing the bonds of wage-slavery - the dependence on fear of starvation and dereliction.

The lineage of workers and their working children
Entry to middle classes through education is possible to all members of families where the subsistence of children can be facilitated without recourse to child labour.

Armoury Green Terror

One possible reason for the high rates of higher education in soviet economy was compulsory military service.

Some European countries have eliminated national service and created a mercenary army.

They seem to have lowered such stress.

Economic evolution and economic inequality

The stretch between the poor and the rich is itself a cost to the economy. Richard Wilkinson's talk on TED.
Will economies, as part of their evolution, develop entities regulating efficiently the reduction of this divide?

In theory this should happen because the inequality and large divide is a cost to all sectors of income. So the affluent minority has it in their interest not to drive the divide too big while having a drive to increase their personal opulence that becomes the affluence. So philanthropy is one mechanism. Though can it cause enough of reform? Progressive taxation another. Reduced entry to means of production another(Open Source Ecology, Free Patents, FOSS electronics, Kahn education). End poverty drive another.

Robert Nozick talks of the increase of the middle classes in free trade economies. Echoing the same idea.

Mutual self-interest seems to be there to serve the mechanism of reduction of inequality.

Cost mechanism and Price mechanism

For one person a cost another a price, the price mechanism is therefore also a representation of a cost mechanism. However the mechanism of reducing costs and those who can reduce costs better while keeping labour effectively engaged can be a positive reason why a system with an ecology of economic actors, free trading individuals, is more likely to survive than a single system (eg planned economy).

While writing this I realised that the economic actors could in fact be entire economies, so explaining Chinese two economy system. Would China be ready for a three economy system?
Countering that is that Chinese World recession time success is their strong position in investment friendliness period or in other words high exploitation of their workers on the world pay scales.

Some costs are caused by the environment eg, bad air quality or salty waters while others are borne of interactions between economic players or the structures of the production itself.

So passes our nobility

Machiavelli advises the noble princes to take up the study of warfare. Is this to defend their domains or to advance their power ? A third option is that such warfare is turned against the nobility itself, Machiavelli shows that the purpose for power lead by princes is to drive itself to death.

Nietzsche seems to propose a similar subtle drive against the nobility in advising that the nobility not engage in a will to live but in their will to power they should live a life of risk.

Sun Tzu demilitarises the princes, claiming that they should forgo warfare and practicing the highest form of war, that is war without warfare.

The most common illness

The most common illness is not stress(hypertension and common colds are some of its forms of appearance), it is caused by stress, it is automatism. Automatism brackets practically every symptom. I see communism as a kind of illness (communism as spectre - spectre as spirit - bad spirit as a cause of illness in folk idealism) where an attempt is made to give everyone an automatism so that central planning can drive progress. An argument for automatism driven communism as an inoculation against an even worse case - capitalism, comes to mind. Automatism is a ritual which has lost its signification.
Is automatism run by, like an automaton, a secret actor in the box serving its functions while hiding its being? In this case signification is re-exploited. Persons with automatism are exploited by others who have automatisms of their own.
Finally there is a cure - a sanatorium with plenty of novelty input and creative as well as cognitive development. Automatism is vanquished and a person can return to creative life. Perhaps another setting for such healthcare should be a start-up.

Antiviolence

Žižek writes the On violence, it seems, as a challenge for others to pick up a fight on. Yet the very attempt to counter would be violent and thus would fail. I do see a flaw there. Yet this flaw is a break in my own ego already violated by the symptom of violence(anger).
On the other hand this antithesis is perhaps blooming to give fruit to a strong thesis for its opposites: peace and compassion.
Perhaps violence is needed, but compassion, mutual aid and pacifism are needed much more.

  • //... something about personification of violence and therefore it becomes a futile ghost; violence is
  • //committed by men not a historical force(quote from Marx, MoC).

On the street

People are on the streets in the US; where the third world inspires a consciousness in the first world.
Yet there may be an epistemological blind spot that makes people address the Wall Street as the spot of evil, thus not knowing in reality more than a spirited chant colouring the sit ins and occupations of the streets. The system is corrupt. It maybe so deluged in its own right mechanisms that what is left in the suffering of the common man and the method of taxation by inflation that is likely to be dawning on us.

What if this chant is just grounded on an illusion and the real question is about socialist overspending going through a collapse?

Joy slavery

Just as there is a wage slavery I see a slavery to joy. Characterised by the need for instant gratification, blind to the wellbeing of the slaves and their needs outside the objects of desire and eventual dereliction.

Actor of Desire and the Object of Desire

Freud uses the term of object of desire. This is a materialist view of the desire. It is wanting. But it makes it possible to see transference and forms a part of the theory fetishism.
The desire is always being facilitated or being a target of an actor or an agent of desire. Borrowing from programming terminology it is possible to use the concepts of an actor - someone who acts on the objects and its environment and an agent - someone who facilitates changes in objects or brings new objects to the environment.
It brings about the desire, its work on itself forms the contemplations and the drive for the Other.

Lifelogging our emotions

About ten years or so after lifelogging becomes available to everyman there will be software that analyse our emotions and their connection to environment or social engagements. These analyses provide insight into our and our friend's relationships. Hints of our intentions can be derived.

Class war and class peace

Class war does not come to an end when one of the classes is destroyed. It comes to a an end when it cannot bifurcate into new classes that antagonise each other thus perpetuating the war and when the owner's class cannot any further mask itself as anything other than an exploiter.

Class war comes to an end when one sides dominates the means of production of the means of the war and the other side's recourse to such production is blocked, when a class peace is created.

Class peace has two roads. Either the means of production have been ceased or created by the workers for themselves or the aristocracy of labour has been constructed.

Terror and Tuition

War is a tuition on society with very high fees, the tuition educates the society to emphasize peace. Gradually this peace fetishism fades from the consciousness of the public. It is no more taught and a new reason for war brings about a consummating cause. The cause could be orchestrated by a game for war. Is there no learning, no sudden or gradual event of understanding. If the Great Nations wage war in perpetuation, how does the undoing of the lesson develop? The immediate lesson here is the pain of destruction and fear of losing the war. There may be other lessons and meanings especially the various justifications, but these are veils upon the actuality of pain and suffering. Humans have a short memory it seems for some subjects, for others it gets progressively better in the methods and applications of the strategies of war.

Pacification - and the beginning of the process of peace

If machology in Emanuel Lasker's Kampf is a forerunner of games theory of von Neumann, then observation of a sublimation of theory of war as imminent in the view of the world converted into games becomes an insight into a historical change. Games theory was used to avoid war. It is designed to be among the necessary tools of pacification of the world.

Games theory can be used here and now and it would be a more general and universal method than its application to solve the problems of war.

In Siddhrathas footsteps

Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse
I knew in my mind the spiritual path taken by Siddhartha. It seemed that reading the book when I was sixteen, the author had followed my young mind, but as a paradox I had not written such a book, or of my thoughts and spiritual experiences, so I was behind...

Improvement in the rate of decline of death from violent causes

As it is possible to see a reduction in the deaths by violent causes through history so it is possible to be aware of the possibility to improve on that. What are the main causes of exceptions to this rule? Would forms of tinkering carry a potential to increase deaths as a side effect or a backlash?

Since recession and war conscription increase deaths by violent causes it is possible to keep the rate going by reducing these.

What kind of societies have no recessions?

Disorganisation of religion

Religion as a body of rituals should be disarranged and disturbed by the calmness of a meditative mind so that nothing remains but faith, example being the life of Franciscus.  Rituals and all spiritual works (cilabatta paramasa/ the Pharisees) disappear with mindful activity of disorganisation.  Disorganisation is achieved when people commune for detachment from the procedures of religion which lack meaning, aim and source in faith. Faith then appears as source for love.
This disorganisation appears for example in the successively recurring ritual of the labelling of a heretic.

Disorganisation appears as a creative power.

Poetry and policy

If poetry precedes and then causes extreme violence, in the form of ethnic cleansing.(Zizek)
If poetry causes change at such magnitude and it could be given a humanist moral polarity.
Then poetry has a potential to create peace, and pacifist strategies.
As a corollary poetry can be a moving force for history and works as a subtle power over politics with more might than philosophy itself.
On the other hand perhaps another art form might be the driver for peace.

Making insight - jJAtra

Exploitation

Exploitation is formed first in the mind of the kid when a superstitious dream identifies money with spending ability, rather than rent seeking or profiteering.
Exploitation creates a block to progress a limitation to becoming wealthy, even losing the dream of achieving prosperity.

Exploitation is the running-wheel, the tramline of behaviours, the lifestyles providing everything necessary to keep the people passively consuming in increasing amounts. Consuming without a tool to create wealth.

The second running wheel is the run for profit, the creation of wealth through exploitation. Here running grinds and transmutes one type of capital into other for the profit of the runners. Though they may be running faster they do nothing but run. Their existence is squeezed for meaning.
(That seems to me exponential and faster growth than wealth making by cooperation.)

There is a third running wheel, perhaps the most difficult of them all, that is exploitation of nations through history: statebuilding. The runners being people like Jefferson, Madison, Bismarck and Lenin. Politics of economy engineering and design is created in this wheel. To run the first and second wheels.

The point is not to advance from one wheel to another but to break out of the cage.

Delegation and religation in religion

a contradiction in terms is arrived at keeping the delegation of faith to the communion of the congregation, to the religation for a unity appears to those who give up their faith to be implicated in the congregation, when the communion, or any other form of committing to religious duty; for this ritual is meant to elevate the individual believer to the level of union with god.

Two objects of consciousness

As the texts have brought me to consciousness the work on them I have also come to see the blog as a discourse that I have come to be conscious of.

Teleology of the proletariat

The consciousness of the class does appear in the bourgeoisie. It would appear faster than among the proletariat. Though it is concerned with the extant of wealth formation and does not long for the beyond the way the proletarian can look at the totality of historical and see its mission of supremacy over the bourgeoisie. This mission does have two paths - creation of free autonomic communes and a red revolution leading to a socialist state. (The second type has an autodestructive tendency. Such a tendency will at most be accompanied by a take over of a state and eventually turn the state to accept special competitive economic areas.) The process of disappearance of the workers by historical change powered by, and forced by technology happens faster than the creation of a stranglehold that yearns and cries and consummates a revolution. Still it feeds into the potential for autonomic communes that form in peaceful transition and bootstrapping in liberal states.

A second movement is the way of turning the bourgeoisie to have proletarian class consciousness, and providing their means of production to the service of the socialist needs. They would eventually be selfdisempowered in a change of heart, seeing that the communities springing up in the first movement are better than their own use of the means of production.
Why would they change, given that their market can create profit for them rather than fixed market of the communes that exists foremost as a mechanism of distribution?

Third movement is the production of the proletariat
  1. From the engineers and scientists - rate of inventions decreases, imported knowledge increases
  2. From the peasants - wheat purchases from aboard turn to increasing trend of outsourcing food production
Fourth movement is the exploitation of workers for foreign capital since production is driven to be so cheap often at the expense of lower safety and quality standards.

The pragmatic web starting up

The First Step
the reprap and fabber are a step towards creating web powered technology that are connected by the internet and could form a part of the Web 4 - a pragmatic web.

The Second Step

opensourceecology - tools and machinery for farms and villages to become sustainable and ecological. Set to provide people with more freedom and access to capital.

The Third Step
Houseprinting - contour crafting machines.
ubiquitous world wide internet present and at hand in handheld devices MIDs
open source villages and communities, open source cities and autonomies.

The Fourth Step
ubicuitous internet within every machine, tool and object - facilitating communality
Creating new connections with like minds for common challenges.

On seeing the kindness of others

Kindness is seen over a difficult threshold of seeing/being compassionate towards the poverty, grief, stupidity of another which is still more difficult compared to seeing my own faults, still more difficult than being fettered to my own desires.
...Yet each is just a thought and choosing kindness and compassion I am spending just as much as with other thoughts and now there is road to satori.

Education as a technology

The system of education can develop just like technologies and can be powered by the exponential growth of computing and its manifold of applications.

So education can be seen as a tool engaged in reshaping the society. This compares to the view that the proletariat will be there ad addendum competing for the resources with the egalitarian worldview. The proletariat gets an ever-improving system of education that draws it into the middle class or on the other hand into the service sector.

As we take it to be a technology it becomes a developable asset and would likely get better results and side effects along time.

Genealogy of the proletariat

  1. Proletariat as the middle class of the renaissance, artisans removed of high skills, deskilled, alienated from their product.
  2. Peasants of the farms and fields of the feudals
  3. Little educated or uneducated people
  4. Population overgrowth
  5. People locked and shackled to a condition of work
  6. People without the means of production
  7. People lacking a social status
Ways of seeing what the proletariat are. The origins of the phenomenon.

One Thousand Minds

One Thousand Minds is a great endeavor that I have restarted on Facebook to create a mapper culture or a gelled team of giant size, shall it create some new values for mankind?
It refers to people who go to the C3- C4(Gourdjieff) to create wonderful systems for the world while engaging in mappermode thinking and indulging in making insights.
