Longevity

The length of existence in terms of time varies for systems that have different aims. Throughout history there have been several groups and systems that last for longer than humans. Here is another list, on these systems:

Civilizations top the list because they last the longest. (Oldest remaining/surviving civ is Chinese).
There must be common principles that make for long life of the entity, i think that one of them is nonviolence.
